Um, Washington was 57 when he took office. Jefferson was 58. Lincoln was 52.
McCain is 72. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. At least try to get your facts fairly straight.

To local lady - McCain is not ready to drop. Yes, he may older, but still strong mentally and physically. Did anyone throw mud at Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc because they were older men? NOT. Just because they are older doesn't mean they are "over the hill". The older you are the wiser you are. If all of you that are "trashing" McCain/Palin would get a real life, and really study up on these two, you might have a different view of LIFE itself. All you want to do is trash people....I see it everyday, everywhere. Guess you don't have anything better to do.

How can we trust the Vice Presidency to a person who wants to see our country torn apart? What other states does she think should leave the U.S.? It's bad enough that she has zero work & political experience to prepare her for the VP seat, but she's a traitor too. It makes me wonder if the republicans know anything at all about Palin, or if they truly would like to see a traitor occupy the VP seat.
Let's also not forget that she was recently found guilty of abuse of power and nepotism while Governor of Wasilla. For the sake of our nation, I pray to God that this joker doesn't make it another step closer to the VP office.

Sarah Palin's reaction to the Legislature's Troopergate report is an embarrassment to Alaskans and the nation.
She claims the report "vindicates" her. She said that the investigation found "no unlawful or unethical activity on my part."
Her response is either astoundingly ignorant or downright Orwellian.
Page 8, Finding Number One of the report says: "I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."
In plain English, she did something "unlawful." She broke the state ethics law...
Explain that to me, will ya?

Report says yes, with documentation.
Who is taking care of her kids?
No one knows.
Did Todd and a "few contractor friends" really build that 3800 square foot log home on the lake within weeks of Palin doing away with the Wasilla Building permit process as to hide the fact that it was built by the Company who had just won the contract to build the 12 million dollar Sports Center?

While Federal law currently restricts oil exports to a small percentage of production, almost all oil, except what is used by Alaska, is sent to the west coast markets. No more than 5% is actually exported.
Natural Gas, on the other hand, is either used by Alaska or exported. Currently there is no viable means to ship the gas to the west coast. No pipeline to you nor any regassification plants. Alaska's market is too small to justify exploration, therefore we have to market it where they can use it and that means overseas.

A questioner at a town hall-style meeting in Wisconsin said he had heard at least 75 per cent of the oil drilled in Alaska was being sold to China and said if true he would like to know why.
"No. It's not 75 per cent of our oil being exported," said Palin, suggesting some of Alaska's oil may, in fact, may be going abroad but not that much of it.
"In fact," she then added, "Congress is pretty strict on, um, export bans of oil and gas especially."
No Alaska oil has been exported since 2004, and little if any since 2000, according to the Energy Information Administration and the Congressional Research Service.
But Congress has never imposed outright bans on US oil or natural gas exports.
But B*sh recently decided (he is the decider) to..."authorize the export of 98.1 billion cubic feet (about 2.8 billion cubic meters) of Alaskan natural gas to Japan and other countries."
Yeah, sounds like Wasilla is missing its idiot.

The global spike in oil prices, while hard on businesses and painful for everyone else in the U.S., is a happy accident for Palin and clouds her real governing acumen.
With all of that surplus money, you would think that Alaska shouldn't be asking for federal earmarks at 5 times the national per/capita average. But they do. How patriotic.

What you wrote could be the rundown on any little town in America (except for maybe the lakes, but we have those here).
She initiated a sales tax? A TAX!!!
The dividend paid out to residents of Alaska happens regardless of who is Governor-although when Palin imposed a 'windfall profits tax' on the oil companies, she used some of that to increase the dividend by 1200.00.
One time and one time only.
